South Sudan is the World’s Newest Country

The small African town of Juba has gone from barely there to independence, becoming the world’s newest country after passing a referendum to secede from Sudan’s north. South Sudan’s leaders hope this gives a boost to the small country that lacks paved roads and tall buildings, but is rich in oil.
